A two-day Hands-on Digitisation Training Programme was conducted on 14–15 December 2023 at the Centre, offering practical instruction in the digitisation of archival materials. The workshop covered the operation of the i2S CopiBook OS A2 Scanner, LIMB Processing software, and TESSERACT OCR for optical character recognition. Designed to build technical capacity among scholars and staff, the training attracted around 50 participants from varied disciplinary backgrounds. Through live demonstrations and interactive sessions, attendees developed key competencies in digitising documents and manuscripts, contributing to the preservation and dissemination of cultural heritage. The programme served to strengthen the Centre’s ongoing digitisation initiatives while promoting best practices in digital archiving and metadata workflows.
